I have installed a brake vacuum enhancer which will increase the vacuum stored and to enhance braking performances.

It also give extra few braking even when engine stop or stalled, thus giving extra safety in case traveling at high speed and engine suddenly stall

in short, it is a vacuum storage device

The orange hose you used seems to be some air hose. I don't think that can withstand heat and vacuum. Get those rubber braided type for safety.

Ubi Ave 2. Its near the famous shop selling roast pork one. They sell braided hoses that could withstand high temp.

its depending on what type of metal is used for the tank, too big is not good, you can't store more that much vaccum for such a big tank.,

Having a larger vaccum tank will not enhance your braking unless you repeatedly step hard on your brakes within a very short time.

When you step on your brakes, the vaccum is used for the brake booster. Then you step again and need vaccum again. If there is not enough vaccum, then your brakes will become hard to step and vaccum tank will help.

However, when you step on your brakes and hold it there, you do not need additional vaccum so it won't exactly help at all.

If you really want to improve your braking, changing brake pads is still the most cost effective way and you get very noticeable results. OF course at the expense of your rotors.

Btw, also need to highlight if you are installing BBKs, make sure your brake booster is hable to handle the larger calipers, else your braking may get worse than stock instead.

Neutral Newbie

I have tried installing this shown on this website.

http://peony888.com/VS/sobogus.htm

I-Power Brake Booster

Installed on my Altis and don't find it useful.

Took it out after 1 month.

Installed Stainless Steel Brake Hose with EBC green stuff brake pad.

Better results compared to brake booster.

EBC brake pad really bites the rotor thou.

Not really bothered so long it can stop the car in time.

I strongly believe car system designers must have thought of all these problems, such after market products are produced to tap on customers ignorance on auto technology.

If vacuum generated from the engine is not sufficient to meet any sudden engine failure than petrol powered cars system designers should have consider using a vacuum pump driven off from the engine or via the alternator like those use in diesel engines. But so far I have not come across such set-up ( correct me, maybe I am out of date on auto technology development).
