Hi all,

Had been thinking about upgrading current colt to 7 seater... Just saw the Citroen C4 picasso as Marina Sq while shopping.. Pricing at $131988. Few concerns..

Any feedback on the car or other recommendations. Preference is for conti cars cos sales persons says Euro $ dropped and Yen has increased... Not sure if its true. [hur]

Is it wise to upgrade??? [confused]

He also mentioned that the 1.6 'Turbo' engine is comparable with 2.4 cc...

Dont want to get conned or appear tutu.... [mad] need views.... [bounce2]

Thanks

what is your current ride?

the C4 comes with 1.6T engine, cheap roadtax but the gear is somehow different from the conventional gb. it's about getting used to it.

if you ask me, i kinda like the car, look trendy, but not the brand. just feel worried, don't know why.

i am not worried about the engine, more worried on the many gadgets which can just cost me a bomb any time! =P

for MPV, i will go for Estima. [cool]

anyone try 3rd row of q7 or x5(x5 is 7 seater?)?

what i try is xc90 3rd row. hm... why they keep say 7 seater(consider it price)? it should be 5+2

in my opinion car that category 7 seater(not 5+2) is:

- estima

- alphard

- odyssey

- mazda 8

- galaxy

If i cannot afford the xDrive35 X5 or the supercharged Q7, my next choice would be the Volvo XC 90 seven seater (or is it 8?) for sure. To hell with the power and performance, i'll get the base 2.5L turbo version. It is real value for money.

Actually there are 2 versions, the 5 seater and the 7(or is it 8) seater.

-Actually the salesman is right...

It quite value to buy conti cars than japanese cars as Euro is dropping while Yen is increasing...

Furthermore, C4 is a 1.6L turbo thus it's under Cat A

Cos most Japanese MPV is under Cat B (Wish, Estima, Stream, Oddessy, Grandis, etc )

Btw, i assume u are looking for a "MPV" type instead of "SUV"

Anyway, it's a 1.6L prince engine (similar as found as Citroen/Peugeot/ Mini)

Thus tat one, not much worries...

Hi,

I was looking for a mpv 2 months back. Tested out Citroen GP, Peugeot 5008, Ford S-max, VW Touran, Wish, Stream.

Tested Citroen GP twice. A car with good design, loads of space and good engine. The 'semi-automatic' gearbox is something that you have to like or get used to. One man's medicine is another man's poison. Some like it, some don't.

You can also look at 5008. Same engine, chasis and size. Pricing is about 1k difference. Full auto gear and higher OMV.

Like Touran dual clutch and engine as well. In my view, savings in all aspect. Cheaper, lower fuel consumption, low road tax. But there is a 6 months wait.

If not for EGS gearbox, I would have bought the Citroen GP. But again, some like it, some don't.

Test a few more cars to compare and you can then be in a better position to determine if which car is above the rest.

Cheers.

i tried the Q7 and it will fit 6 adults comfortably. the interior is similiar to a mid sized MPV. i was considering it but decided to get the R class for the better legroom.
