Hi guys,

I'm thinking of blocking up my egr valve as the amt of carbon in my intake is quite scary.

B4 I do so anyone knows the effects?

Thanks in advance guys

Cheers

I removed removed mine, intake is now very clean, turbo also doesn't choke up that easily now. Only downside I can think of is increased emissions (but I still passed my inspection!) and a slightly longer time for engine to warm up [;)]

Thanks man!!

Recently saw my intake,scary sia

Anything the cause dirty intake, your valve cover hose. It ducts engine oil vapor back into the intake manifold. You get lots of junk in the intake because of that.

If you are running bigger injectors the choke-up of carbon is even worse! Have seen manifolds with more than half choked with carbon. Causes many issues with VNT turbos as well. Check out extreme ways of clearing that unmovable carbon!
