I had friends auto locked their own keys inside the car and had call for special services to help unlock. This happened more than once. Wont recommend to get an alarm system with auto- locking but no PKE function . Because this will cause the problem like you say " being locked out " this problem can be solved when you are choosing an alarm . ensure that 1) there is no autolock 2) if there is autolock , ensure there is passive keyless entry . Autolocking is a old technology for "copying" the keyless entry feature , but nowadays with newer PKE on the markets , autolocks are rarely seen . REARM function is good enough . if you have any questions dont hesitate to let me know i will help in anyway i can . thanks ~~ :D ↡ Advertisement
SimonTan 2nd Gear May 14, 2012 Share May 14, 2012 My current Jazz PKE keyless press-button start, requires me to insert a half-cut metal key into the steering lock to keep the steering lock permanently unlock, which is the ACC position permanently. When the headlights is on, and the key is turned to OFF, there will be a warning chime to indicate headlights on. But since the key is permanent in the ACC position, this warning is no longer available. Many times when entering dark carparks, I turned on the headlights. And i mostly forgot to off the lights when I leave the car, to go shopping, etc. This happend often enough for my battery to drain out once a while. So have the aftermarket PKE cum press button engine start system, come out with a module to simulate the metal key position back to OFF position? So that the car warning chime can come on when I forgot to off the headlights. Meaning the PKE fully restore the car to its original condition with all the warning chimes workable. I am keen to modify this part of my aftermarket PKE system.

TMCTR88 Neutral Newbie May 27, 2012 Share May 27, 2012 Hi guys, asking on behalf of my Dad. I have a similar problem to one of the forummers here, when the car (Colt plus) locks and unlocks, got no sound at all, just the sound of the locks closing/opening.. Why is this so? Anyone else have this issue on the same car? Thanks in advance!

I am keen to modify this part of my aftermarket PKE system. Hi, Ive the easycar e722as keyless system installed. As my car has auto head lightw feature, I normally leave it to 'auto'. When I enter a dark place (eg car park), head lights will auto on. After parking, I will off engine via push start, and exit car. Once I'm away from the car, roughly 1 m, the car will auto arm, headlights will also auto turn off after a few seconds. Even if I choose to manually on/off my head lights, the keyless system still auto off my head lights when I exit the car. Btw, I also have a cut metal key permanently inserted into my key hole. Not sure if this system meets your requirement?

kqkhlj Clutched May 12, 2014 Share May 12, 2014 does anyone know how to fix my problem? i installed a camera recently on my ride and then my easycar LF sensors are not working properly ever since, i have to bring the remote control very close to the antena to unlock my car and my car wouldn't start if the remote control is inside my pocket, have to place the remote control on the dashboard which is very close to the antena to start my car. i think somehow the camera emits some sort of signal which interfere with the easycar antena, very headache ah....

Poco 1st Gear July 7, 2017 Share July 7, 2017 On 6/24/2011 at 8:33 AM, SimonTan said: My Honda jazz installed with the aftermarket keyless and push button. Very very convenient to start and lock car....aka no need to bring out the key. yes....immobilizer will be disabled....what the fitter did was to take the chip from my orginal honda car key....and past it near the key hole Permanently. So the car will think the immobilizer is permanently ON. Also for the push button start to work.....the key (cut off metal piece) will be Permanently inserted into the key hole. So if a thief were to know the above information, and saw my car or any cars with the aftermarket push button start.....the thief will know this car is a easy target. All the thief need to do is to break the window to gain access. Pry out the double sided taped push button, to expose the key hole with the cut off car key inserted. Use a plier, to grip hold of the 5mm exposed car key and twist to start the car and drive off! So this keyless cum push start system is really not recommended for those who visit JB!!! 1)Of course there is the optional method of over cut the car key, fully inserted into the start hole, without exposing 5mm protruding bit. But then you will not be able to pull out the car key in future, should you need to for one reason or another. 2)Another method is to modify the immobiliser sensor to another location, shift it away from the original key hole location to a cup holder bottom. Each time one enters the car, one will have to place the key immobiliser(the black plastic part of the original key) inside the cup holder for the car to switch off the imobiliser circuit. Ok another bad point to install the push button start system is the inserted key will always be in teh ACC position. So the headlight warning chim will not be warning should you forget to off the headlight, etc!! I am not worried about my car being stolen as I dont drive this car to JB, so its ok for me. Alternatively...just get the keyless entry system. Do not get the push button start system! But then hor....it defeats the purpose of true keyless driving! You decide. Can I know where do you do the keyless? After so many years any problems? I want to do mine.
