Yesterday,Disposal the Japanese Bomb,costed so much of Taxpayers Money,i wonder can claim it back from Japan Embassy.?

Personnel mines had been banned quite long ago. Not long after my ns all kinds of mines that cripple or kill soldiers had been banned. Somemore claymore mines hold too many tiny metal ball fragments which causes more damage than good. The direction which the relic's explosion goes makes the tiny ball fragments even more unpredictable. It is design more to cause damage on soldiers not for demolition purpose.

The aerial bmb must have a fuse as of all explosive device. As long as the fuse is removed the explosive held inside the metal body will be stable. That's why two detonations are needed. First to blow it open to expose the explosive material, 2nd to destroy what's inside it.

According to this link it is still listed in SAF’s inventory. And there was plenty use of it in my time and the left over satchel bag was highly coveted. 

There’s also the big brother version called the “colour tv”.

SG did not sign the treaty to ban AP mines
