Vulcann 6th Gear June 28, 2011 Share June 28, 2011 you have made a good point .......... are the polis short handed? or they couldnt be bothered? or they are part of the actions? some sort of explanations/clarifications by the Home Team are needed .... Saw the show also. Some of thiefs were openly dumping the stuff into their vans or trucks in the middle of the night. Others just get-&-carry it away. One fella just dumped his carton of duno what into the container and took with him a donated pair of shoes. Not sure if the TV crew or even the SA folks even report to the police... The church plans to restore the historical artefacts and display them in the new heritage gallery when the cathedral reopens, tentatively in February. ST PHOTO: ALPHONSUS CHERN PUBLISHED3 HOURS AGO FACEBOOK62TWITTEREMAIL Workers restoring Cathedral of the Good Shepherd unearth 1843 time capsule, foundation stone Melody Zaccheus A 173-year-old time capsule and granite foundation stone of the country's oldest Catholic church have been unearthed, in what experts describe as a "rare discovery". Contractors found the hitherto missing capsule and foundation stone earlier this year while restoring the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd along Queen Street. The time capsule - possibly the oldest one found here - comprises publications such as a prayer booklet and newspapers from 1843, as well as 24 international 18th- and 19th-century coins and tokens. A foundation stone, or cornerstone, is the first stone set in the construction of a masonry foundation. Mr Ho Weng Hin of Studio Lapis, the cathedral's conservation specialist consultant, said both artefacts mark the times in which they were constructed and embody the values the community held dear. They were buried by one of Singapore's early founding communities - French Catholic missionary priests of the church, among others.

Atrecord Supersonic June 30, 2016 Share June 30, 2016 I reckon it should be 大 as in 大日本帝国政府. But can't figure out why it is written in that way. Your Jap words reminded me of a joke that an ex-colleague (who studied in Japan) shared about 2 decades ago. Jap likes to call itself 大日本. Then when there was a Big Sale on a particular day, there was a banner that was put up: 本日大卖出 ! Reading backwards was funny...
