By Tham Yuen-C http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/S...ory_682168.html A RELIC believed to be a bomb dug up by construction workers at a furniture warehouse in Sungei Kadut has set off a mad scramble to find a private bomb disposal company. This was after the manager of the site was told by the police yesterday that the authorities would not help to get rid of the war relic since it was found on private property. ↡ Advertisement

Requiemdk 1st Gear June 21, 2011 Share June 21, 2011 Is there an offence with finding a bomb??? No, but isn't it part of their duties? I've a friend who was in the force (already quit) and I remember he got called up a few times during our lunches to report for such things, though his role was usually just to provide security for the bomb disposal squad. As you say, they should've defused the bomb and then charged them for the service. Fair enough. But to say that it's private property and hence not their business... wtf? Then by extension, any crime committed in private property also not their business?
