Look for 4D number. First 2 is week and last 2 is for year (last 2 digit).

Example, 5210 = week 52, year 2010.

Hi

tire manufacture 2 or more yrs are more prone to hardening. So normally this are the ones that are on sales. try not to use it if u got a choice. else, if you r working as sales or u drive very frequently (meaning u use up the tire faster) then it should be ok.

TYRE running on the road for 2 years NOT = tyre keep under the roof for 2 years

Fresh tyre NOT = Good tyre

tyres keep under proper condition for 2 years then sell its very normal. and they wont harden in 2 years.

odd size tyres, its very hard to find any with the latest date.

(factory make store in warehouse, supplier in sg order come store in warehouse again , retail shop if they keep they store in their shop again) , tyre with 2 years mauf date from the day u buying its perfectly ok to use.

Friend, dun agree with you,... I remember reading somewhere that the NTSA doesn't even have conclusive recommendations on this. They suggested lifetime of 5 years from date of manufacture in properly stored away from rain and sunshine. If tyres in use are >5 years, enduers are advised to check regularly at least once a year by the tyre professionals...

Just wondering, how does it affect your drive with a harden tyre vs a fresh tyre. Just went to have my tyre changed, due to harden tyre. first time change, so dunno the different.
