Can share how much you bought and where? Made from?

less than $200 for 215/45/17, made in Germany.

I happen to be in malacca and recommended by a friend, I dont think it worth the trip just to purposely go there for the tire.

I've gone thru 2 sets of F1 Asymmetrics b4 and can testify that it's grippy, quiet and extremely good value for money. [thumbsup] The Asy 2 would be the default choice when it's time to replace my extg CSC3s.

do u hear a bit of low freq hovering noise on F1 AS?

Apparently i seems to have that on my previous set.

you got a really good buy. too bad it is in malacca, like you said, not worth the time and toll fee to go there to buy.

less than RM500, the Michelin PS3 is slightly above RM500, which the price gap between AS2 & PS3 is smaller than those selling in singapore.

i agree!!

Also, what abt cost/benefit comparison? Sure, some tires are super fantastic, but at what cost? Since tires are utility/expendable (like rice, mobile phone plan, etc), shouldn't price be taken into consideration?

I change once every year, even if there are still about 50% thread left. Let's put it in a different perspective.

The only thing holding between the car, and the road, is the tires. A good set of tires could safe your car/day in case of emergency.

I definitely would not mind spending that tad bit more to get better grip, feels safer. If you look at reviews. braking distance is also one of the considerations. So, dont mind paying that premium.

Furthermore, grippy tires wears out faster then those that come stock with the cars. Those stocks tires usually can last maybe 2 to 3 yrs. But they are far too slippery for me. As I already gotten used to the so called performace tires.
