This iMax is at Lido cinema.

I wanted to watch Pirates of the Caribbean there but the tix is damn expensive.

There are also some comments that digital iMax is not quite as good as the real iMax

hi guys,

i went to watch the 3d imax kung fu panda. prior to the show, they showed the transformer preview.

it was dam cool lah.

its like SUPER DUPER HD and the 3d's like.. very differenct from the usual 3D in the cinema. its like you're totally involved in the movie kind of feeling.

I'll be catching transformers in the 3d imax for sure :)

oo yeah, one more thing, the theatre is quite diff from the science centre kinda imax, was kinda disappointed at first, but it was still nice :)

Whoa!!!! imagine watching T3 in science centre imax theatre!!! fierce!!!!! they better provide seat belts in case children want to siam bad guy's laser then fall down [grin]

Are they showing it at the Science Centre? Would certainly be gnarly! But I don't really like watching movies in 3D, waste of money 'cos the overall experience is less than satisfactory.

Well, the last 2 Transformers movies were alright I suppose, what I didn't like was the fact that they didn't follow the original plot at all! As such, the storyline became mauve & predictable. I also don't like the Autobots, am a Decepticons fan for life! The movies' portrayal of my heroes Megatron, Soundwave, The Constructicons, Barricade, Blackout etc... fell far below my expectations.

Come on, the great Devastator being defeated by some Autobot motorcycle?! Rubbish! And what's with that shape-shifter robot chick?! A lame representation of their "Pretenders" series. Why oh Why did they reduce the mighty Scorponok - Mobile Decepticon City and leader of the Headmasters into a puny Mechanical scorpion?! Ridiculous! And who or what the FCUK is 'The Fallen'??

Hopefully, the 3rd installment of my all time fave cartoon will show the Decepticons in a better light. In the trailer, that huge tentacled robot bringing down a building looks promising! Hope to see some scenes on Cybertron as well. I guess it's too much to ask, but if only the "Planet Eater" himself would deign to make an appearance, and speak these famous lines:

Unicron: I have summoned you here for a purpose.

Megatron: Nobody summons Megatron.

Unicron: Then it pleases me to be the first.

...I'd die a happy man! Here's the trailer as seen in the cinema:

Shaw iMax is a must go, at least once. But need to pick the right shows

Yeah. Been there to watch Pirates in iMax, but not 3D though. Good sound and picture but not much different from normal digital theatres. Is it really different for iMax 3D?

is it as big as the science centre one?

Dunno mate. Never been to the science centre one. The one at lido is not much larger than the ones at say Cathay Cineplex/Picturehouse, or GV Gold Class, but noticed that the screen was kinda convex in shape rather than flat.

So many different types of cinemas nowadays quite confusing hor [confused]
