Torquemonster 1st Gear June 14, 2011 Share June 14, 2011 Hi bros, i need some help here. My car dashboard lights are not working properly, sometimes the dashboard lights will go off and come back at different intervals. Sometimes when driving at night, the dashboard light suddenly went off and it comes after a while, and sometimes when i turn on the switch, the dash light does not come on immediately, it only comes on after a while. When the dashboard lights goes off, the smaller bulb on the headlamp and the tail light will go off altogether. However, only the headlight works. Its a intermittent fault so it is very hard to rectify, so can someone please help me. Btw, my car is a 3 year old toyota axio. ↡ Advertisement
Expertz 1st Gear June 14, 2011 Share June 14, 2011 open your bonnet, look for your fuse box and slowly pluck out the fuses 1 by 1 and check to see if any of them are fused
Torquemonster 1st Gear June 14, 2011 Author Share June 14, 2011 open your bonnet, look for your fuse box and slowly pluck out the fuses 1 by 1 and check to see if any of them are fused I don't think the fault lies in the fuse, because after the dashboard light goes off, they come back again. If the fault lies in the fuse, the dash lights will never come back after it goes off.

Torquemonster 1st Gear June 14, 2011 Author Share June 14, 2011 Okay, I will check whether the fault lies in the battery. Hope the fault lies in the battery, it will be an easy fix, but what kind of voltage am i looking for?
Verve 1st Gear June 14, 2011 Share June 14, 2011 sounds like a loose connection, maybe take a look at your manual and see if u can find any link between dashboard electricals and headlamp ? i really doubt its the battery as the voltage involved is not much and batt is only used while starting mostly.

Vulcann 6th Gear September 8, 2014 Share September 8, 2014 Hi bros, i need some help here. My car dashboard lights are not working properly, sometimes the dashboard lights will go off and come back at different intervals. Its a intermittent fault so it is very hard to rectify, so can someone please help me. Btw, my car is a 3 year old toyota axio. I have exactly this issue now in my ride. Tried PM the TS about both the cause and the solution but it seemed he hasn't log in since Apr this year. Also tried to log on Axio Sg Forum but could not as they do not accept new registrations. Any bros have got any idea why this is happening and any way or WS to fix this? Thanks. ↡ Advertisement
