i am from scouts, ask her to carry our load and walk long distance with us if she can.

else pls take off the black beret and don some dark blue beret(supporting units).

disgrace to our armour.

What if she can? Please don't underestimate your female counterpart. Though they not as fit as man, but some can do wonders. Hump until you dry also possible.

End of the day, do you think she'll be shouting or screaming out the commands?

I think the later since girls are well known for screaming.

Will her voice sound like one of a kid trying to break voice?

Another challenge - learning the Malay commands - where she sought help from her Malay colleagues to get the pronunciation right.[/i]

YOU MEAN AFTER SERVING IN SAF FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS, YOU CAN'T EVEN PRONOUNCE A FEW SIMPLE MALAY COMMANDS?????

Cannot say like this mah....giving command in malay on a normal vs doing it in NDP is different. Normal, as long as the men can understand can already...but in NDP, it has to be perfect pronunciation. It is just like most S'porean speak english.....but that doesn't mean they can deliver speech in NDP in English with the right diction, etc.

the 21 years old twin volunteered themself...lah including 19 years old son as crowd motivator.

It`s a family affair....how irony is that...

NDP 2011 to feature first female Parade Regimental Sergeant Major

SINGAPORE: In preparation for this year's National Day Parade, military personnel have been toiling under the sun to get their drills right.

And getting them into shape is the Parade Regimental Sergeant Major, Master Warrant Officer Jennifer Tan, who is also the first woman appointed in the parade's history.

She will also call out the commands for the 29 contingents to march onto the stage.

MWO Tan said: "Anyone appointed in this role, regardless of gender, the same pressure, the same pride will take place."

Asked about the challenges she faced, MWO Tan said that while she is a contingent trainer, being in-charge of 29 contingents and ensuring that all the participants are up to the mark has been a challenge.

Another challenge - learning the Malay commands - where she sought help from her Malay colleagues to get the pronunciation right.

That's why I find her look familiar. Normally ladies become instructors in the army.

She's from Armour, RSM 46 back in 2006..The first female RSM at that time..

She was RSM before? I always thought RSM should be very good in commands?! How come she still need to seek help from her colleague to get the pronunciation right?! [:/]
