Aftermarket car alarm

hello brothers,

 

would like to seek some expertise views and advise in getting an after market alarm.

 

my humble ride do come with immobilizer.

 

Currently using an after market alarm, 1 way type.

 

Pretty good, step brake as a central lock, all doors will be locked.

 

A basic car alarm, cheap and good.

However cheap things don

2 way alarm consumes a lot of battery both from the car and the remote.

 

i change my remote battery, 1 AAA, every month.

 

unless u are in an open space. if inside building, 2 way alarm no reception, so defeat the purpose

btw if you take don get singtech 2 way remote, a lot of problem.

 

sometimes car lock by itself when doors are open. if u did not notice, u close the doors, the system arm itself and u cannot start. though got reset button, sometimes it does not work. have to try and try for many times until it work itself out.....

 

sent to a few audio shops to rectify but to no avail. all of them say singtech 2 way remote is well known for unstable. in the end i took it out.

that's why i don't consider them.

 

any experience buying from states? states seem to have better off car alarm.. although it may be a little overkill in my scenario..

Step brake lock is the Standard for all alarms.

99.99% of alarm module got this feature built in. So no need to worry!!

$200 should be able to get inclusive of installation.

If u buy overseas, the warranty is a risk, also workshop will charge you very high for the labour cost.

I know it's cheap from eBay. But I highly recommend u buy locally.

 

I gotten my keyless entry from the sponsor here.

Got the step brake lock door, also got the certain speed lock door function. All built in into the module box.

It's up to the installer whether they are honest enough to activate the functions for u or not.

after trying spy alarm, realised basic one way alarm is stil the best.. less problems, lesser batt change n easy to use.

 

if u drop ur aftermarket 2way alarm remote - costly to replace & mayb even no stock. one way alarm are easier to duplicate outside at a cheaper cost.

but TS car got immobiliser.. that might add more installation cost to him.. coz some aftermarket alarm does not comes w immobiliser installation.

SG is gd but for that price.. not worth it.. assuming i may change my car in near future..
