Ken4555 1st Gear June 6, 2011 Share June 6, 2011 Ok lah. How often do you see carpark like this get washed by rain water? At least they will have a clean carpark to park their expensive rides. Anyway it's their insurance company who suffer the loss. I believe their annual insurance not cheap. but isnt a flood an act of god?... or nowadays insurance plans do payouts for acts of god?... Ken4555 1st Gear June 6, 2011 Share June 6, 2011 Really wonder wad r the authorities going to say this time? On Jul 22, 2010 , MM Lee said: "Whatever we do, when we get extraordinary rainfall - like we had recently - no amount of engineering can prevent flooding. "There is a limited amount of space that you can dig underground, there is a limited amount of space that you can have run-offs for canals. And if you have extraordinary rainfall, well, you've got to prepare for it. "But of course, everyone expects everything to be perfect - Singaporeans expect everything to be perfect - which we try to do, but some things which are beyond any... it is "Act of God". Unless you want to lose half the roads and have canals." what else is there to say?... all said liao as above... and anyways if anything really does go wrong, hey... "It's an honest mistake let's move on"

Axel123 Neutral Newbie October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 The building should be made calamity resistant. The construction companies should use best and advance techniques for the drainage system.

Subutai 3rd Gear October 12, 2012 Share October 12, 2012 I am so glad HdBee is building MSCP instead of basement carparks.... Then again, maintenance regimes of these basement water pumps need to be reviewed. Any civil engineers or experienced folks can advise if there are any failover scenerios?
