Symptoms of worn engine mount

For worn engine mounting, strong engine vibration is felt at idle position.

 

For my case, each time i stop for a red light with gear in D (Mine's an AT) the vibration is very strong.

You can feel your dashboard, steerling wheel and chairs vibrating..

However the vibration is lessen when gear is engaged in N or P.

 

Got my mounting checked at two workshop and they confirmed that it is the mounting that is worn out.

Went to get the mounting from stockie and get it installed at workshop.

Symptoms of worn engine mount confirm is strong engine vibration at idle or even when your car is coming to a slow, you will feel your steering wheel and even dashboard area is vibrating. Just have the mounting change and all vibration will be gone.

if u on coilover set the damping to the softest ,before that 2 -3clicks harder and it feels like my mounting gone.

2nd if u throttle body dirty ,car feel sluggish some vibration might occured.

today i did these 2 steps car feel better.

Sometimes engine/car obviously shook more than usual when starting/stopping engine.
