if my schedule permits, i would be glad to join the group. i am planning to drive up to Tangkak for MSWs in the later half of July.

 

Wah, Tangkak is about 200km from Singapore, plus some winding road in the durian plantation, you gonna clock easily 230km per way. That is a lot of driving for 1-hour durian session.

There will be 2 traffic lights when we exit from the HW. So this is the part where I have to plan in case the group splits up during red lights.. looks like got to draw map liao

 

Nowadays most of us have GPS. So it should be easy to go especially in a group. Just assign a few ICs who have GPS.

the durian farm owner and his sons will pick dropped durians at 5 plus in the morning and deliver the goodies to their stall in the city area. hence, it is not necessary to drive to the farm. the journey from my house to the durian stall takes about 3 hours with one toilet break. not too bad as i enjoy the 2F2F workout on NSH.

Wait for Enzomatrix to organize. It is easier to go in a group. For big group the uncle will prepare fruits and some food (like curry chicken). In big group, make friends, and after durian can detour to Bukit Indah shopping.

I am proud to present our Inaugural Durian Trip to Pontian on 4 AUGUST, SUNDAY.

 

Briefing will start from 9am onwards. Collection of buffet entrance fee and notification of comms frequent will be done b4 moving out.

 

Flagging off is at 9AM from West Coast Macdonald

Estimated distance: 35KM from 2nd Link

Buffet Cost per pax:35 RM per pax (Adult)/ Children 15 & below 17.5RM (Price is for per head entering the plantation irregardless of eating or not as per plantation owner request)

Takeaway cost per kg: TBC

 

This event would likely be a HALF-Day affair.

 

Note: Pls bring sufficient RM as there will not be any Money Changer along the way. Entrance Fee WILL be collected to confirm attendance. Payment method will be released later. Also, should you need to top up your Touch & Go card (RM30 for 2-way trip), u may do so at Petronas. Petrol gotta be 3/4 tank when crossing custom. Full tank before convoy leaves Petronas is strongly encouraged.

 

Pls bring along ur comm sets. Please note that the comm sets is not LOCAL set. Frequency shall be made known on actual day.

Enzo, I think I went with you for the durian trip to Pagoh 2 years ago. It was a good trip with good durians. The 30kg take away were all good too. If this trip is not during the Ramadhan month, I would have joined. Anyway, have a good trip and nice durians-eating.
