Throttle2 Supersonic June 11, 2011 Share June 11, 2011 anyway how much can the maintenance of a boxster costs? can't be much more than my subaru impreza TS with boxer engine right? definitely more than your Subaru. especially an old Boxster. the parts are already at least 3 times more expensive

Totocow Neutral Newbie August 12, 2011 Share August 12, 2011 Hi Guys, My backside also very itchy. Need you guys to give me some advice. I am thinking of selling my 22mth old VW GOLF 1.4L TSI. I would probably get around 88k for the trade in value, and considering I only paid 85k for the car, I will be able to cover my loan as well as have some spare cash. Am actually thinking of getting a 3-4 year old Lexus IS250 for my family needs. What do you guys think? Am I actually making sense???

Good for family needs.
Cook1234 Neutral Newbie August 12, 2011 Share August 12, 2011 Unless u got a lot of spare cash, my advise is to keep ur car. If u sell ur car, confirm dealer will offer u low low low price due to ur high mileage. And u will buy a car which is of elevated price because of the elevated COE today. In end, sell low, buy high. Moreover if got loan worse. unless of course, itchy backside plus got a lot of spare cash, then why not? Just my view.
Fennmax Clutched August 12, 2011 Share August 12, 2011 depreciation liability. from one pit to the next. no finaincial sense unless sell now n dont buy car. otherwise still lose out. best deal is buy low when coe is like 3k then drive 10years. like 1 friend bought superb 89k n now new is 150k! for your case u will be incurring more cash outlay/debt than now unless the 1-1 exchange.
