Those Taliban bastards support the videotaped, slow beheading of innocent civilians while they're alive, and they can't take a little postmortem decapitation of one of their own in a conflict? [rolleyes] Arseholes and spoilsports. Behead 'em all, I say.

Fully agree.

N post it on Youtube fr all to see how ty screamed, begged n cried [bigcry] when being beheaded. [knife]

most decorated soldiers are sitting in their offices bro. :)

it's the rank and file that gets the fighting done. and yes, it can be done.

I wonder how many of our Generals n Colonels have actually seen active duty n fought close quarters with the enemy? [rolleyes]

yea, probably should split in a few locations.

but seriously, 2 belts are too little. and one man in a chkpoint??

I remembered finishing 5 belts in one contact and one day used up 10K rds... some ex in some "unknown" overseas location.

But that was simulated exercise, not real life and death situation. The fire rate could be much much higher in real life.

Usually each man wil carry at least 600 rounds not counting the extra grenades n mortars ty hv.

But now many wil b re-supplied if their ammo running low by helicopter or trucks.

If not, just try to get the hell out of there. Hahaha.

I think his buddies either killed or left to look fr charbos when the fighting started. [laugh]

The key is

" If I am going to be kill, I make sure I bring a few of my enemy along"

If all our SG boys think like this when the moment of truth come, no agressor will dare touch us.

The JB case.... just save own ass first ........but war time....different story liao.

As good as they Gurkhas are, why do we have such a large force in Singapore? Are they really necessary for our defence?

Retired Gorkha takes on 40 armed robbers

A train robbery in West Bengal went horribly awry for a gang of 40 bandits armed knives, swords and pistols

i remember last time training time 1 contact rate means 1.5mag which is like 45 rounds. i bitch at the weight of the rounds but it's barely enough for a 5min confrontation unless you do serious rationing i.e. don't anyhow put suppression fire.

I think the 2 retired old men cost more than the Gurkhas forces here [:p]

For national defence maybe no, but internal conflict is no other choice [whip]

If you have ever seen the backs of these tough fighters in the shower room, you will be awed by the inhumane training they had gone through...

FYI their backs were crisscrossed with whiplash marks from their training back in Nepal where welfare or humane training did not exist in the dictionaries of their instructors.

Had the privilege to train with 3 of SPF's toughest grunts more than 20 years ago & us home-breed NSFs & some regulars were really impressed with their determination & of course physical stamina.

So our SOC or CPFT in their eyes were really a walk in the park. BTW, they ran the whole day up & down hills with GPMGs strapped around their necks back in Nepal.

I give them the highest respect & pity the enemies they had, are & will be up against.

Gurung, Tharpa & Tharman, Hope you guys are happily retired & enjoying life back home. You folks have really humbled the 2 platoons of 45th batch of Endure & Excel trainees back there & I believe till this day.

[thumbsup] [thumbsup] [thumbsup]
