Kangadrool Supersonic June 3, 2011 Share June 3, 2011 (edited) read it up in Renault Car Club forum. The newer Renault (2008/9 and after) are relatively problem-free. In fact, more reliable than some MIJ Japenis cars. I am driving a normal M2 now and previous ride is MIJ. Big ticket item u need to take care is, timing belt change @ 60K or 3 years interval which can set u back by a princely sum at W or Renault specialists. Ithunk 1st Gear June 5, 2011 Share June 5, 2011 (edited) lol megane rs is about 120 over k i sat in the car before and revved the car....its a manual so it will need a good driver to take full advantage of its power....or a fast learner to adapt to the car opps 160k lol i will choose this kind of car over volkswagen any time.... VW is becoming too beng.... and 250hp from a 2.0 liter engine is totally amazing Edited June 5, 2011 by Ithunk
Cheesedick 1st Gear June 5, 2011 Author Share June 5, 2011 Interesting to know you would choose the renault over a vw, cos that's how i see it as well. I went to test drive the renault just now and it was not bad. V decent handling in stock form and the high torque makes it a breeze to accelerate. Throttle pedal is v close to the brake pedal and makes it easy to rev match. And the muscular wheel arches look great imho. The downs: the driving posiition needs a bit getting used to, the clutch feel is strange (double pressured ala M16 trigger pressure if you know what i mean), and the car is pretty quiet.I'm currently driving a 350z and i miss the rawness of the Z in the renault. But all in all, i might just get the renault is the price is right.
