Are you working in the civil service or Temasek-linked company? Why would normal employers do that when there are still so much cheap labour floating around?

when you got fellow singaporeans that are surviving on $600 to $800 a month. these are the people you have help by waking up the pap.

feel free to go to the 1 and 2 bed rooms rental flats area and you meet them face to face.

all we need is a little bit of creative in the job opening.

i have friends that employ 3 aunties part time. one is from 9am to 1pm ( need to fetch children , family poor but die die need a part time job)

9am to 5pm (husband want her to cook dinner)

4pm to 10pm ( need to settle family )

he dont employ all 3 full time. all part time some work 3 to 4 days a week. he managed to help 3 family by being flexible and still stay within budget on salary

How specialised is this position? C'mon, cannot find a local if you're or your company is willing to pay market price?

Tell your boss don't give stupid excuses. Go and advertise how much you are willing to pay. If nobody comes forward, increase the advertised pay. Repeat.

There is a price for everything. You want cheap? Go to North Korea.

yeah. With the type of pay our ministars get, the minimum wage we should pay our local street cleaner, table wiper, toilet cleaner @ S$5K basic. [:p]

We should peg our pay to our ministars' pay also. [laugh]

After all, our goal is Swiss standard of living.

Tell your boss don't be a kiam kana, just pay market rate w/o "subsidies" from FT/FW. [:p]

Still, it doesn't stop the 39% voters to push for more APs into parliament in 2016; just like how pappies opened the floodgate to welcome FT/FWs [laugh]

Erm.. Swiss standard of living? I think Singapore should stop to compare this and that.. as every different country has it's own set of problem and they also trying their best to hide it just like Singapore which is very good at. So comparing become useless as it does not really show the true reflection of what is happening around the world.. like country trying their best to mask bad thing behind and not let the world see the true colours. So care for Singaporeans 1st before looking at other sorts of growth.. if one country even could not care for own citizen well.. let alone handle influx of FT.

That's what they have been trying to achieve and benchmark few erections back! And they keep on comparing how affordable our housing/corks of living is to Tokyo, Paris, London, Horlan, etc. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

They also compare how bestest our MRT train is compared to Tokyo (without the need for someone to pack u like sardines in the cabin).

they give us FT to compete with us some more say give us 'good running shoes', then we give them APs to provide check and balances to them, make them work cheaper, better, faster [laugh]

If they compare SG toy train with Tokyo, and say we are world class and Tokyo public transport sucks.. I don't know what to say. In the Tokyo area (include Chiba, Yokohama these places where people live, and travel to work in Tokyo-to), there are more than 35 million people living and working there, most people take the train. SG only 5M cannot handle ? If you include the greater Kanto region, its easily 40-50M. We haven't even connect to KL or JB yet.

Having said that, public housing is usually cheaper and better in SG unless you move out of Tokyo-to area and commute 1-2 hours to work.

If things really improve after the 39% votes to wake up miw, we need more such votes in 2016 to continue keeping them on their toes.

If things still dont improve after 7th May's wake up call from 39$ of the voters, then the more such 'wise' votes are needed in 2016 for the sake of the people and the future of Sgp.......

Bottom line:- regardless its 2016 or 2020, wise votes are a MUST!!!... to prevent the decline of proper policies to meet the needs of the people.

I believe if you do not want to pay, foreigners also do not want to come. Be mature. Nothing is free. This is reality.
