In Conclusion:

They should have highlight explicitly, on their Website & Advertisement, that they only insured STOCK cars.

sadly, many are taken for a ride.

I'm almost coming to next renewal in weeks time, should i cancel aviva and change to another insurer immediately? So what should i put in the cancellation reason? "Too fearful to insure by aviva"

My mod is rim, pivot grounding and bouquet. I think is too heavily mod for aviva perception.

U can just put as U r switching to a more reasonable ins co. for similar premiums.

I think "cheap" insurance has its price to pay.

There are many hidden "gotchas", refusing to honour insurance..etc

For those who go for such insurance, read all the fine prints.

Ya the lower the premiums, the less is covered.

Just make sure u r getting what u want at the best price around.

But some Ins Co charge higher premiums but still can b sticky when got claims so b careful. No guarantees hor. [sweatdrop]

Well its more like u get what u pay for.

I switched from Mayban to DirectAsia but no regrets as I pay for what I need only. Cheaper by about 25% so why not.

Last year I had a claim with Mayban n no problems but only the surveyor "cut" the repair bill to the bone so several parts were repaired instead of change new. Not to bad though.

Remove your mods: pivot grounding and bouquet.

They are useless anyway.

Drive carefully till your next renewal, then decide.

Don't waste your money with the cancellation.

Seriously I can't tell the different.

U mean the numbers r LED or the 2 bulbs to light up the number plate is LED?

1st one cannot. 2nd one is OK. Even my number plate bulbs I change to LED. Not an issue.

Mine is the latter. No issue right? Not very bright like those can reach the flooring but enough to reach the bumper area.

Aviva has been well fed for the past one year. Now its refund time!!! Please quickly do your refund before they mod their refund policy.

Refund is different from Cancel. Think Aviva is not stupid. If gana accident then they will refund and try to isolate themselves from the claims related to the policy. If not, they would ask you to cancel the policy and rebate you with quite a substantial penalty...Think there is no free lunch.

Both ways, they win.

Accident - no pay...cancel and refund....which means essentially you have no insurance coverage until the day of accident.

You cancel - they collect admin fee.

With this kind of business strategy, I don't think they will ever lose money.

So for those without full 50% ncd, you can accumulate with them the 10% until end of your current year and change to other insurance co. Those with 50% can try do stunt and say that your car do not meet their requirement and request for a refund?
