thks to all bros for help.

as i am now typing with my lappy with the wireless turn back on.

How??

I was using a after market power adaptor(AC/DC) then, went back my room and use back the original acer, and everything is back to normal again.

Any logic in this......???

Could it be the power settings you're using as it sense low batt and it shuts down some unimportant stuff to conserve power?

My company Thinkpad has some settings which I can configure. I found out about it when my screen suddenly became darker as the power saving program kicked in.

Yes, typically laptops come in a variety of power, common ones are 65w, 90w and 120w

65w are generally for smaller laptops or net books.

90w are for normal 14" laptops

120w normally for large screen multi media laptops from 15" onwards or docking stations.

If using after market adapter, ensure it can supply enough wattage, or higher. If under, it may not charge, or not enough power to supply the peripherals.

In such cases, lowering the screen brightness can help, but not always, depending on the manufacturer.

check the front........see if you see any orange or red light................if wireless on sld have a blue light..........

sometime is the modem issue............try switch off and on the modem again.............it happens to me sometimes..........

maybe your lappy is so intelligent it switches of wireless automatically when you surf porn for too long........... your lappy' got high moral spec :D[:p]

on a more serious note: i have built-in wireless card, and sometimes i penetrate the lappy with a usb wireless stick... then both the build-in and usb connect to wireless networks together in the neighbourhood, is this ok? ie the lappy is pricking up two wireless signals... abit like orgy... hope this wont cause any trouble or confusion............ like now, i am using dual-signals (my own description) to surf MCF :D

to dispel the myth, i went back again and plug in the after market power adaptor, no problem as i am typing now and sending this post <_<

thanks again and sorry for all troubles caused to all ........ [blush]

you stupid lappy......make me malu

Acer laptop or notebooks have this power conserving functions which automatically off some functions like connecting wirelessly to Internet when there is insufficient power/battery left. You can set this to off/ask first. And maybe like some bros said, your aftermarket adapter is supplying the right voltage but not enough current(watt) so sometimes you won't be able to surf the net if you have a lot of stuff running. As the connection to the Internet would be the 1st thing the computer switches off.
