Rb26dett Clutched May 27, 2011 Share May 27, 2011 not really harder.but slightly more firm . you can still use lowering spring with it. why not try some entry level coilover like tein super street.you get daily comfort yet an even more firm ride. Happily1986 5th Gear May 27, 2011 Share May 27, 2011 How about telling us your preference? You prefer soft or hard setups? Prefer cornering stability or more biased towards comfort?? Without saying such things, how are people going to give you good advice?
Pandaeyes Neutral Newbie May 27, 2011 Author Share May 27, 2011 Hi all sorry I'm more towards comfort. Slightly firmer than stock. Comfort - 7/10 Firm - 3/10.
Happily1986 5th Gear May 27, 2011 Share May 27, 2011 Me thinks that if comfort is your cup of tea, maybe coilovers not a good idea. I stand corrected. KYB is decent and i remember it supplies stock shocks to a few japanese marquees. I never heard of STD but maybe i am suaku.

stenson 1st Gear July 4, 2015 Share July 4, 2015 yes, 've tried the KYB SR special before..it's firmer than stock and it's adjustable just like Koni..but easier to adjust (the rear) than Koni.. The KYB New Sr Special is a non adjustable damper but it is use as a performance shock for all round comfort and performance drive. The cylinder is made slightly bigger for better damping. I guess the adjustable part is for the KYB AGX or extage. ↡ Advertisement
