Mecontle 1st Gear May 26, 2011 Share May 26, 2011 Bros, can a car receive more traction from rear by changing the rear wheels to larger diameter and width, it gives a slope down aggressive look if done correctly. Any technical issues ? ↡ Advertisement

Rb26dett Clutched May 26, 2011 Share May 26, 2011 Applicable on a RWD Doesnt make sense on a FWD Kills the differential on a 4WD
Prostcode Clutched May 26, 2011 Share May 26, 2011 instead of rear, change to front - for fwd.
Mona-vie 1st Gear May 27, 2011 Share May 27, 2011 Good only for RWD cars. Keep the tyres a little wider but not too much. I use 225/40/18 for front and 255/35/18 for rear before. Nice. Not recommended for AWD cause front and back will be travelling at different speed and kills your center diff in the long run. FWD also can for looks but it won't really improve traction unless you set up the car to have excessive oversteering.
