IF ALL YOUR FRIENDS DARE NOT GET LIFTS FROM YOU......

IF PEOPLE EVER COMMENTED ON YOUR HOPELESS DRIVING....

IF YOU HEAR HONKING VERY OFTEN WHEN YOU DRIVE....

IF OUT OF THE BLUE YOU GET MIDDLE FINGERS/STARES/HEAD SHAKES BY OTHER DRIVERS...

you could be a road hogger....

think its time to consider getting professional help on driving... if not you need to stop driving before you kill someone....

but private operator i seriously don't know when they are in emergency.. they just on their blinkers and drive around and i seldom hear their sirens also,

once i gave way to an ambulance (private operated) with blinkers, after i gave way because he was behind me, he overtook me and drove on 1st lane at 80kmh.. got urgent thing still can drive 80kmh?

for SCDF, the moment they on the blinkers they meant business.. when they blare they siren, people will give way ma.. [thumbsup]

Do road hoggers even know that they are road hoggers? I think a more effective way would be

'PLEASE COME IN IF YOU ARE OFTEN TAILGATED!'

its a matter of want or not want to.....

if you drive in jb, you be encourage by how drivers there gave way by moving apart between lane in a jam, wide enough for the ambulance to pass thru.

Of course, you dont get to see it here........ [shakehead]

All the road hoggers will probably tell u that there is a speed limit and they are keeping to the speed limit.

They think that they have paod road tax and they are entitled to use the road. With or without emergency vehicles behind them .... it is none of their business.

They are "brain less" IMO ..... there are just too many out there now and i have given up .. I will just overtake them on the left and move on.

I was in Okahoma and the driver will stop their cars at the side of the road if they see a emergency vehicles behind. But I am not expecting this to happen here. I would be glad if these driver do not road hog.

I believe in order not to stress the patient, the private ambulances only wail the siren when obstructed. 80km/h is quite fast for some new ambulance drivers (ever got one confessed he flipped and rolled the ambulance he drove about a year before we met, when he was new driver).

never ever need an amulance at any point of their lives. [rifle]

ever once saw that happening here. a few cars in front was trying move aside to let an ambulance thru.

but guess what happened next? some moron pulled out of his lane to try n squeeze thru the cars that moved aside (as if the cars parted for him...!) and landed up blocking the way instead. hope that idiot was one of those whose pic got snappped by the SCDF ambulance n given a fine.

Heard many years back, it was SGD100/- fine for obstructing ambulance. Good luck, if the patient/next of kin get to sue the roadhogger obstructing the ambulance (I believe the lawyers know how to claim any compensation).

$100 fine is nothing to them.

i propose jail term for blocking ambulance, with the video on the ambulance, can see you actually block the ambulance for how long.

if the person plead not paying attention and cannot see or hear the ambulance with the siren behind, then okay, revoke the bugger license straightaway as he/she is a danger to other road user anyway.
