Hi all

if you intend to do SP for your doors, do not use the Dynaquest brand from Foon Audio. The shop is located at Macpherson Road. Their SP sheet is made in Korea and the material will melt under the hot sun. I have personally experienced it and have attached 2 photos for your viewing

below is the link to their advertisement in MCF marketplace

can't see clearly.. which is the part that melted?

its the edges of the Dynaquest SP that melted. so if you want to do SP, then better get STP or Dynamat. expensive but much better than what Foong Audio offers

I didn't use their SP service but install my Alphine HU with them, good and metious workmanship, they made effort to ensure you get the best out of their audio, price wise slightly on the high side (depend on type of work done). Personally I give them thumbs up. [;)]

Hahaha...that's a good one.

Perhaps one can bring back to the shop and ask for rectification first instead of shooting the shop down on forums.

bro,

give and take, if you have problem with a product, talk to the installer to resolve the problem first before you start to complain in the forum...

Bro

I have similar problem, and after investigation, it had nothing to do with the SP material.

It was due to the glue that glued the plastic. Apparently Foon didnt clean off the plastic properly.

From the investigation, the glue was the air-con glue, which would melt under heat and hot sun.

Before the SP, there was much more ventilation. With SP material covered the entire door, and without cleaning or scrapping off the aircon glue, it melted.

lol foon is quite famous

sometimes mechanics cant solve everything so got to give them a little room for error.....but of course within reasonable margins....in my opinion no car can be perfect.....
