Atrecord Supersonic May 21, 2011 Share May 21, 2011 My car is due for scrap soon, and am thinking of getting another car. Am budget conscious and no not mind size, style or performance, but as wife and/or my dad might sometimes drive it too, am looking for a car that has auto transmission and also ABS (for basic safety concern). Old car is fine, and am thinking of the non-jap makes as cars of 4-8 yr old came in at time when yen was strong so jap makes should be more expensive? Am thinking of Chevrolet Aveo. Is that the cheapest car that comes with auto and ABS? Anyone has any advice on this? Much appreciated. tks. ↡ Advertisement

If you want to replace parts, just go to one of those places that specialise in mercedes w124 spare parts. As for installation, get a workshop to install it for you. Try not to go to workshops and ask them to get the parts for you because it's gonna be damn expensive. The auto transmission is super solid. Furthermore it will never roll backwards or forwards on an incline. Get the ones made in 1993 or younger because those are using the more powerful 16V engine http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...451&DL=1103 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...922&DL=1035 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...642&DL=1000 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...137&DL=1120 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...364&DL=1120 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...861&DL=1191 If you're on a tight budget, get this http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...662&DL=1243 Go watch this and you'll realise how tough the car is
Atrecord Supersonic May 21, 2011 Author Share May 21, 2011 (edited) Errr.... thanks, but Chery QQ while got auto, doesn't have ABS right? Also, got no faith in China car. Am budget conscious, so need to get best value out of (little) money. Mit GLX am sure got ABS, but not cheap. And while old Merc should be tough, i'm not in that league. Just need a cheap auto that comes with ABS... Edited May 21, 2011 by Atrecord

Would like to ask for anybody help if I would like to buy a "kangoo" that is within my budget of less than 10K per month. Do I need to pay tax? And if I dont, how do i buy them than? And can I still get a car that is less than 10K for my daily use of buying of my school stall stocks?? Anyone, can pls help me??

A Kangoo seems like a good compromise between a car and a commercial vehicle, get the ones with glass windows in the rear for a more airy feel. Can change car every 2 years or so summore! Well the 1993 ones have lower depreciation As for low depreciation, that's why i suggested the one with the COE til 2019. I think that's pretty much a good buy if one's on a budget and looking for something that's reliable.

Still, it's a very reasonably priced car. Just asking for info, if it doesn't have the 16V engine, will it still be just as good only less powerful? ↡ Advertisement
