any meetups soon? would love to participate. or is there a fb page for this?

We just had one early Feb for CNY. This time put together by my friend, not me.  (sorry if i didn't manage to msg those who asked)

Hi everyone!

First of all, I am posting to this thread because I am not yet allowed to create an own one and couldn't find any thread that would fit well, so please excuse me if I posted this wrongly!

 

I am a car enthusiast from Germany, and currently in Singapore for a few month. I'm a huge fan of old cars from the 80ties and 90ties, especially Japanese made and even though the average car life here ends after 10 years, from time to time I spotted some more or less beautifully maintained older cars on the road. Within the last few weeks, I saw a delicious E8 Corolla hatch, an Mazda RX7 FC, a Nissan nx B13 coupe and also a few older Honda Civics. I know that for many people except the Mazda these cars are nothing special but I personally really like these older boxy mass-volume cars. I honestly also like the old Proton Saga a lot, it is a great car in my opinion!

So in case there will be a car meeting with some older cars within the next few month, I would be happy if I could join!

 

Another reason why I registered here is that back home, I am working with a friend on his Miata NB project car. He's Singaporean, so I want to bring him some special car accessories from his home. I was thinking of getting a license plate holder with "madza Singapore" written on it, and for myself, driving an 1986 Nissan B12 coupe, a "Nissan Singapore". Do you know where I could get these? Thanks a lot in advance and sorry again if i'm posting at the wrong place! Cheers!

You can possibly get a custom made license plate holder from some shops, I unfortunately do not know of one, but over here it's quite rare for someone to have a plate that says such. Most come from the authorized dealer with said dealer's branding on the license plate.

It can be done though, I've seen custom plates with unusual branding.
