Kianbeng Clutched May 14, 2011 Share May 14, 2011 Hi guys, I've got a clock that I really want to keep. But due to a leaky battery it spoilt the electronic mechanism. I've taken it out, cleaned the contacts, didn't work. Resoldered all the joints again, and seems to work but the second hand is too weak to go 1 cycle. So kinda gave up and wanted to buy the mechanism to replace. Was thinking of buying a $1 clock from those ABC shop but the thing is I believe the length of the stick, holding the second, min, hour hands would be too short....mine's quite long cos it has to go through a piece of wood. ↡ Advertisement

Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear May 14, 2011 Share May 14, 2011 Check around. Many of them same mechanism, so may be interchangeable.
Kianbeng Clutched May 22, 2011 Author Share May 22, 2011 Check around. Many of them same mechanism, so may be interchangeable. Do you mean there are other shops selling this clock mechanism as well? I checked the ABC shops and found some disney clocks at $1.50 but the "stick" was too short. Btw, I've just bought the replacement from ArtFriend (Thanks to Ghostrider8). It's $11.50 and they come in sizes 6mm, 10mm and 19mm. I had to buy the 19mm one as the 10mm was too short. ↡ Advertisement
