We do have ample open car park within our ground which is a fenced up area

with cctv and security 24 hours. The main gate leading to the Car park

will be closed at 1am where the security booth is located at the entrance

& exit of the hotel.

Looking forward to your early confirmation.

Thank you and regards

THE EMPEROR HOTEL MALACCA

==================================

Now my mind is getting itchy. The carpark facility appear to be quite good.

If there are at least 5 rooms for CONFIRMED BOOKING, I may want to switch over from the current booking.

It was advertised on their website that free shuttle service is provided from hotel to Pahlawan shopping.

http://www.theemperorhotel.com/facilities.php

Anyone interested ? Please list here for group booking.

Mate, you think this hotel is better? If so then I think we'd better collectively agree to move here. The rooms actually look bigger than those at Baba House, but older and less novel lar. What about the location?

There are mixed reviews about this hotel, in the various online hotel booking sites. I would moderate these reviews.

Pros :

more rooms, in case more members wanted to book together.

bigger carpark and secured after 1am.

more convenient to have "open mobilization".

free shuttle service to Pahlawan shopping.

[that means check-in after NSH, leave car at hotel, take shuttle to Pahlawan, late noon to Jonker St areas, evening drive to Portugese Sq.]

Cons :

a little bit more walking distance to Jonker St areas.

mixed reviews about hotel [anyway, just 1 nite to sleepover].

I like to let everyone have free choice. For me, I can cancel without penalty.

OK, I will put my nick for The Emperor Hotel, to start the list.

Hi Opel 17,

As one of my friend had already booked the Baba Hotel, all my other 2 freinds and myself will be joining him. I have no problem getting around Melaka as I have been there several times thus, we can communicate thru Handphone where to gather when we are there. [rolleyes]

Myself and one of my friends will meet and go by Woodlands Check point, we will see whether can catch up at one of the NSH RR [cool] (To be finalized later)

Hey mate. Thanks for listing the info about the hotel! My booking payment was done via paypal this time, so cancellations may be tricky. Think will remain at the Baba House lah, experience the Peranakan way of life for a day! :D

The info may be useful to the other folks joining us on this trip should they be unable to secure a hotel where all can stay together. Ample & Safe parking is a real plus for this hotel [thumbsup]

Tentatively, we are likely to stop at the Pagoh R&R. However, let finalize later.

Noted your hotel booking.

Is Pagoh R&R the nearest point on the NSHW that we can hook with Opel17 and the rest?

Hi Bro,

Sure, we can meet up. It's the Garden nearest to the check point. (refer to link)

Meeting up with Opel 17's group along the way shouldn't have any problem as my other friends should be following Opel 17, they are staying in the west area.

The first toll plaza is Kempas, see whether we can catch up from there. [:/]

I think Machap R&R is the nearest/earliest hook-up point for both groups from Tuas and Woodlands.

In this case, do you prefer having breakfast at Machap R&R, hello/handshake, top full tank petrol, then move on to Ayer Keroh Melaka Tolls. Maybe brief stopover Pagoh R&R for toilet break.
