Can i just check if you will be going to the farm on 25th or 26th??

 

because i'm 5.5days, i cannot join on the 25th.. but if you are going on the 26th, i don't mind solo-ing up and meet you guys there..

Thanks for your effort in organising the trip mate! So if it's confirmed for end-June, I should be able to make it. But please leave me OUT of the Durian farm bit!! 2nd day I'll probably go back on my own, so don't worry about me.

 

Hotel wise, think the smaller boutique hotels like Puri may not be able to acommodate so many of us right? Especially the parking. Any alternatives?

Did you miss the post, which I offer to go with you to SKY on 12/6/2011, subject to durian harvest update on 9/6/2011 ? U mean you would be overseas as well ?

I am worried that I cannot manage too big a group, being a novice to organizing road-trip

May I propose you join us this trip, and then you lead your group then in the following weeks, as the durian harvest would still be on.

Would this be ok to you ?

sorry, sufting net while working time is a dangerous thing to do when my MD office is just behind my desk.. thus had to adjust the IE just for reading purpose only.

 

 

 

i would love to go for the durian, 12th is still not so ok as partner having her acca exams if go, she sure will F me up side down..

 

just a simple suggestion, how about postpone to 18th, for your trip to 25th, it just bringing earlier.

Hi OPEL,

 

FYI, as per current observation, the next harvest time will be at mid of June and a great amount of durians will be available at the end of June.

For 05.06.2011, the durian might not sufficient for durian buffet for 10 adults (depend on individual food intake). If this date is the most ideal date for you all, you may still visit us and in case the durian is insufficient, the pricing will be either buffet per pax or durian per kg which is the lowest.

For 26.06.2011, since this date is end of June, as mentioned before in this email, there will be a great amount of durians.

Under such circumstances, the drive-up to Melaka & SKY would be amended to 25 & 26 Jun'2011.

I am sorry for this situation. May I propose as follows :

- we will check with SKY on 9/6/2011, about durian harvest for 12/6/2011 [sun].

- if there is durian harvest expected for 12/6/2011, we will go with you just for the durians, w/o Melaka tour.

- after durian buffet, me and wife will head up for our 1week stay in Genting. You will be on "free & easy".

Hope this would be acceptable to you, subject to durian harvest update 9/6/2011.

I should be able to join you on 26th June. Expect to be too busy for any overnight stay then (also on 5.5 days/week).

Portuguese Square izzit? Thanks for the reminder! Loved the BBQ fish there cos they did it with assam chilli instead of the regular sambal for a Peranakan twist.

i hope the roads have not changed...

 

The map below shows the roads in Melaka Town. You need to use the cursor to scroll right and down until you see Portugese Settlement which leads to Portugese Square.

From Melaka town, the one way street from Equatorial Hotel straight along Jalan Parameswara, bypassing Newtown food court (local favourite food court), will bring you to the "island junction", where to the right leads you to Melaka Raya (Bei Zhen) and to the left goes around St Paul Hill.

 

Follow Jalan Bukit Senjuang and Lorong Bukit Senjuang will bring you back to the "island junction" where to the left is Jalan Ujong Pasir and to the right brings you to Melaka Raya with another immediate left turn.

 

The turning to Portugese Settlement is just around 500meter once you turn to Jalan Ujong Pasir at the island junction at Lorong Bukit Senjuang. It is a small sign and many people miss it.

 

If you see 7 eleven shop on the right hand while driving on the left side of Jalan Ujong Pasir, you know you have over passed but you can make a U turn at the Petronas.
