I have used full syn and semi-syn EO under the same brand. The sull syn turned black after 1 week while semi-syn took a month or more.

I have also used expensive good quality motorcycle EO (Castrol) and cheaper full syn motorcycle oil sold over the supermarket. The Castrol EO turned black as soon as I reached home while the supermarket EO is till brownish after one year.

An EO that is doing a proper job of cleaning up the engine internals should turn black after a short period of use.

SO, please do your oil change interval according to car manufacturer's recommended schedules, not colour of EO. [laugh]

Any1 can advice where to buy Idemitsu Extreme Pro Engine Oil 5W40 ? preferably in the east side

Sin Tien Seng is the distributor for this oil. Can go to their various branches all over the island for oil change. They service non-Daihatsu cars also.
