Really, technology is good only if it is put to good use. Within 3 hours, we have a speculated 10 deads. And we too have comments that attacked the news agencies of CMI reporting on the accident.

Two days past, and in fact on the very night it was reported that 2 died due from the accident. What a vast difference. Its a very irresponsible act of speculating without verifying the fact from a respectable source. This type of misinformations can cause choas and anxiety to those NOK working inside the accident site.

The administrator here should take note of such irresponsible speculation and take to task of the member to refrain from such acts. It does not bode well.

Agree. Even if there is no PRV, the vessel under pressure will not explode.

What will give way first is the compressed air (or N2) hose connections ... or the hose itself!

For the vessel itself to explode, the built-up pressure must be tremendous.

I also think so, very funny explanation. Have not worked in shipping industry, but having done pressure testing of gas lines and pressure chambers before, it is unlikely that the test object will "blow up" as there are fail-safes such as pressure relief valves etc.

This is kind of like a balloon bursting. At first I thought it is another case of fuel or flammable gas-air mixture igniting.

Hey, maybe the person who first started the "10" dead statement was using binary number...

10 (binary number) = 2 (decimal number). Benefit of doubt.

Indo shipyard workers....heard a lot of horror stories about them. Have no regards for safety. I may be wrong.

imho its equipment malfunction, or they are using equipment that are not ATEX or Instrinsically safe :(
