I personally don't believe that GY was sidelined or sacrificed or got rid of in this manner.

 

Aljunied is a big loss to PAP. Granted, before results, of course, not certain PAP will lose. But on the other hand, before Sat night, you would not know the risk of not only losing Aljunied, but losing another 1 or more GRC's is certainly real, although the probability may be small. On top of that, SMC's like Hougang and PP, so PAP could lose big time, and as TS said, stupid they are not.

 

The stakes too high. You lose the 1st GRC, risk opposition tsunami come 2016. I think, they're now really afraid.

 

No, I can't believe that PAP would take such big risk just to get rid of GY in this manner.

I never think PAP are morons.

But I would not give them too much respect and worship them as omnipotent.

 

They are human after all. In fact, they are not really that exceptional. The better ones, maybe you can find them once every twenty years. The very best, maybe once every fifty years.

 

But they are not the real elites where you can only see once a century, or even those real greats, once a thousand years.
