What is 6 / 2(1+2) ?

Is it 1 or 9 ?

DAMN ! [furious]

need clear picture cause the way you show it can mean

a) 6/2*(1+2)

or

b) 6/ (2*(1+2))

if A = 6/2*(1+2)

= 6/2*3

= 3*3

= 9

If B = 6/ (2*(1+2))

= 6/ (2*3)

= 6/6

= 1

Problem is the question has no bracket.

It is known that we must do bracket first follow by Division and multiplication.

In this case, after solving bracket, must we do 6/2 first or 2(3) first ?

hmm.... [crazy]

then do 6/2 first.

remember do bracket first, then Multiplication/Division follow by Plus/minus.

DAMN ! [furious]

answer is 9 ( NINE )

6 / 2 (1+2)

= 6 / 2 * ( 1+2) <------ which technically is written as this

= 6 / 2 * 3 <------ there's only one bracket, so do that first

= 3 * 3

= 9 ( answer)
