It's the old folks who should be thinking of their grandchildrens future. The old folks are coming to the end but the children are just beginning and by thinking of themselves only the sell out ALL the future generations.

Interesting way of putting it. Let me quote a few brilliant phrases from one of my favourite novels, 1984. Tell me if any of them resonate with you.

Doesn't this depicts the political situation which we have on hand now?

 

Certain PAP's cronies claim that residents will risk their future if they vote for the opposition, till the extent that their estates will become slums. It was as if only the incumbents knew what is best for the citizens of Singapore, and not even the citizens knew it better than them.

 

PAP's view of the opposition does not require any further explanation from me, as it resonates the 2nd sentence perfectly.
