Does turbo charging improve FC?

A newbie question:

 

Is aftermarket turbocharging legal?

 

The simple answer is NO......

 

If you want to TC your car, you need certification from turbo vendor that its safe for use for the car, you also need car manufacturer to certify its able to be used and you need LTA to approve etc......

 

This is almost impossible to be done. Only possible way to TC your car is the car manufacturer itself makes a TC kit for the car. Then it can be approved. But you will probably need to spend over 10K for inspection + approval etc..... Well over 10K and you are going to get just around 30-40HP increase. Might as well don't do it.

Yes, have. But its very very rare. So rare till its almost nonexistence..... Eg. TRD makes supercharger kits for Toyota cars and they are TUV approved. Such kits can be installed in your car. However, the cost.........and you don't gain much power also.....
