Chpeck Clutched May 5, 2011 Share May 5, 2011 This trip has been confirmed just looking for more enthusiates to share the fun. I have done the Penang to Kelantan before, for just the cornering parts is enough to justify the whole trip let alone the sceneries and food. ↡ Advertisement

Chpeck Clutched May 5, 2011 Author Share May 5, 2011 Don't know if one car is considered a convoy with 4 huge guys inside. The highlight of the trip is mainly photoraphy and nature appreciation + plenty of good food. AWD is prefered as may go into forest tracks. Itinerary: 12 May, Thursday 8am - set off from Singapore 5pm - Some arrive by flight in Penang 6pm - check into a hotel in Butterworth, probably Ecotel (2 stars) 7pm - Seafood dinner at Tambun 13 May, Friday 9am - Breakfast 9.30am - Butterworth - Grik - Jeli Kelantan, Gua Musang - Cameron highland (apprx 500km) 6pm - arrive at Cameron highlands and spend a night there 14 May, Saturday 8am - 5pm - Hang around Cameron highlands whole day 6pm - Head north to Butterworth 7pm - 12am - Free and easy at Batuk Feringhi area and stay a night there 15 May, Sunday set off for Singapore

I've been to Kelantan (not sure the town's name) to attend a friend's wedding in year 2000. Was driven to KB to look around, and found nothing much there. But then the places might have changed and developed over the years since yr 2000... Perhaps you can check in the internet for some attractions: http://www.virtualmalaysia.com/destination...n-Malaysia.html

If u intetested in old school stuff...maybe then u like. Prices sub b very cheap. I think ty follow strict muslim law there so b careful. Can try their local food. Fly kite during season or buy e big kite (Wow) back to display on wall. Hahaha. I doubt i wil go there fr a holiday. Seems like so many other interesting states to go. Even kuantan n trengganu more stuff to see n do.

Those want to see rustic surroundings, and how people live there under strict Muslim law, can go to Kelantan. If not, just pass-by (either on way to Thailand, on way to Penang from Terengganu or back) is good enough. Not many Chinese there too. Most women there also all covered up....nothing much to see!
