Ya to me if the person is genuine low IQ if and of no harm to me.. I would just let it go.. no point pursue when no harm is done to me.. Imagine the person already low IQ and I still want pursue, that would not be good..

Sigh....my heart goes all out to the mother and son....

I think no one will raise temper if he/she is nicely talked to....

I have sympathy for the mother cos no mother wants that to happen to her son.

but everyone has a temper, still it's not right to resort to violence.

so next time u get angry at me, i can throw chair at you?

likewise, i can tell u that no one will get horny if your wife didnt wear such a short skirt, so i have the right to rape her and i should be let off with kindness....

come on lah... dont be like pap, be consistent!

you forget that the low IQ boy didnt aim, so likewise, it could have landed on the MP. so by that same argument, you're saying that you will go after the low IQ boy if the chair landed on your mother, but not if it missed and hit a wall instead.

so your argument is that the boy should be let off cos he cant aim?

im toking about the act, not the consequence. the consequence is a result of his poor aiming, not his intent.

Well to me I would just let it go.. really no point pursue it.. maybe you can call me no backbone.. but to me if I see a guy so ke lian and still want make the guy more worst? That would not be me.. unless more serious thing happen beside the little hurt done than different story..

like i told parking idiot, u try to throw chair at the door during the next appraisal, and voilently tell your boss that you want 3 x of what he offers... see what he will do loh..

if he terminated you, or call police, post it here in MCF, I sure sappork you!

but if he really give you what you want, then make sure your pay dont hit 15K, otherwise, chair may fly around your head anytime... LOL

agreed. this kinda mentality being displayed here is why the pap tells singaporeans that they cant govern themselves. so now singaporeans are saying that it's ok to resort to violence against any pap member cos the pap has been bad. that is not right. this is not what true opposition is preaching.

the boy has low IQ and he did what was wrong. he should pay the price. likewise, some time back there was a guy with low IQ who committed sexual crimes. he was jailed and nobody stood up for him. his low IQ was taken into consideration but he was still jailed. I can tell u that he didnt fully understand what he was doing was wrong cos of his low IQ, but singaporeans wanted him out of sight. why?

likewise, if this low IQ boy who threw the chair at the MP, did the same in public in a coffee shop perhaps, do u think we will all stand ard and say let's forgive the boy? come on lah. low IQ ppl do funny things in singapore so often, all the time singaporeans call for blood. this time act like saint!? ptui! worse than pap!

if wat u say is true, then my respect goes to you. but i can tell u that if a low IQ boy throw a chair anywhere near my mother or my wife, i make sure his IQ drop further.

Sometimes it's not about who pays for who.. it's about people.. I sometimes wonder why people fight with each other with such a small thing.. I would prefer a small arguement rather than a fight. When people already so ke lian and want make the guy even more worst just because he did small little things that only cause little hurt ( not life endanger ), and pursue so much until both party tired, waste time and energy to pursue and worst is ok you win but will one person be happy because of that ?

wow, you sure know to twist and turn the context of a post to win an argument ... [shakehead]

1st you say physically harm the person...

now change to throw chair during appraisal... [rolleyes]

Brudder... want to argue, then at least get your facts right first.

The situations are totally different

... the boy was already known to the MPS as having problems - maybe not the substitute MP, but those at the MPS already knew them (if you do not know this, please go and read the newspaper article first)

- he threw the chair at the door, when he was already out of the MPS, nowhere near any people

- the situation was diffused and the various parties had already gone home

- the police were only called deliberately after everyone had a chance to cool down and think about it - to me this sounds vindictive

taking your fairytale scenario - if I were to throw the chair at the door during a wage dispute - the boss would probably fire me. He wouldn't call the police. Even if he called the police, the police would come and ask a few questions and leave - they would not arrest someone for just throwing a chair at a door and then NO FURTHER ACTION.

cool bro huat... sometimes, people just say noncense when things doesnt happen to them... im not surprise to see people who talk like a saint now may act like a gangster tomorrow when se saw some mentally tarded kid accidentally scratch his car... , of cos he wont call police, cause he will sentence the kids with few punch, and some kicks on the spot...

Any update from the mum and son? So did those lightning people withdraw the charges or they did not press charges at all or after the report surface online, they quickly withdraw the charges and said they did not charge the son?

Which is which?

yeah we saying the same thing.

only different is our view of no good different nia. maybe where we stay different so different MP [laugh]

I agree if yr MP is good, then by all means vote her. But if he/she is not doing a good job, its time for a change.

Remember we r the ones who decide if the MP stays or leaves. We have a choice n we sud not b afraid of them. They r public servants who r there to serve us n r being paid good money to do it.

The way I see it now, when the MP comes, everybody is running around like monkeys to please them.

It always takes two hands to clap.

MP rude to Mom n boy, not knowing he is mildly retard due to her being parachute in last min to stand in. Boy felt humilitated n with his low intellect, n anger management issue, he only knows how to vent it by throwing chairs n kicking table. He was out of the MP office liao when he did that. But nevertheless, someone in that office felt "THREATENED" or scared enuf to call in the police.

If MP not rude to Mom n boy, this episode would have been avoided, but of coz according to LHH, Cynthia was very motherly n cordial to the mother n son (maybe like how LKY is fatherly to Singaporeans - REGRET N REPENT!!).

So let's juz stick to the fact

1) Something happened in the MPS w Cynthia Phua that triggered the boy's outburst.

2) Boy outburst was in no way threatening to CP since it was out of her range alreadi (so bro really like to talk exaggerate, wat take bullet, wat life threatening situation)

3) Nevertheless Police was called n arrested the boy.

CP or LHH never bother to speak up n put a closure to this to the public. Mom n Boy also never say anything else. My guess is that if everyone keeps quiet abt it CP will not pursue if further.

I agree.... but what trigger it?? Again we dont know..... they MAYBE asking for some things that is beyong the MP?? So when say No only... chiar fly... maybe.... really no facts, so who right or wrong... boh lang zai...

But I guess they already cum out and clarify the matter... whether one choose to believe or not.... leave it to individual lar.... this type can talk until Christmas one... [laugh]

I believe it was mentioned that the request was for a letter to HDB to waive the $100 plus deposit for a rental flat fr them to stay as they do not have a place to stay.

Now why cant the MP just approve to give them the amt as it is small, or just write the blardy letter. [rolleyes]

LOL, hey you really suppork me all the way leh, knowing that i do not have the fact, you provide me all so that I can shoot at your balls... [laugh][laugh]

if you conbine your point 1, point 2, point 3 and point 4 together, can I conclude something like this??

the boy was know to have problem, all these while no 1 is taking any action due to his family condition (your point 1),. there was 1 incident where the kid act voilently in the MPS and threw the chair at the door, when he was already out of the MPS (your point 2). The situation was diffused, and they cannot decide what action to be taken due condition of the man and his mother, and after the MPS, every went home (your point 3)... after some time, everyone had a chance to cool down and discussed about this matter, the man is know to be problematic (your point 1) and to avoid things get nasty in the next MPS, they decided to make a police report (your point 4).

KNN... i tot you are anti P8P... but... you are actually P8P hardcore sarporker! [laugh]
