KARTer 2nd Gear May 3, 2011 Share May 3, 2011 Recently a group of frens went to Sepang to have some fun. I missed the trip but they told me something after the trip:- (The group consists of lambos, E10s, STis. I am not sure whether to believe their Field Report or not although i know they dont usually lie) #1... the e10s (mildly mod) pulled away from the lambos at above 230kml on NS highway #2... the same e10s entered turn 14 side by side with the lambos but beat them once both hit the main straight I havent driven either cars, and find it hard to believe these reports.......... or was it all a matter of drivers' ability?? btw, all agree that the lambos sound great when they pulled!!! Music to the ears ↡ Advertisement

Mockngbrd Supersonic May 3, 2011 Share May 3, 2011 I reckon its the driver. Prob some Mental issues too since you lose a lot more with a lambo then an Evo, so maybe less willing to push the car

Filtered 1st Gear May 3, 2011 Share May 3, 2011 1st point hard to believe as usually Lambos n Ferraris would excel on NSHW high speed straights. They can do 300kmh easily due to bigger engine and better aerodynamics. Maybe Lamborghini driver nt pushing. 2nd pt very possible as the lambos do nt make gd track cars, as they weren't designed for it. Porsche GT3 on the other hand would be perfect
Keithchue 5th Gear May 4, 2011 Share May 4, 2011 might be done to revs not at the optimum zone, high performance conti cars need to rev, usually for the case for ferrari, lambos, where power comes higher in the rev zone, GTR on the other hand has ttubos which the power comes slightly earlier, and the way that the new GTr is designed, cornering is where it excels. Think lambos n ferraris anytime also can do it just only driver dare anot! Edited May 4, 2011 by Patricklyb
Mockngbrd Supersonic May 4, 2011 Share May 4, 2011 the trouble is how long can Ebos sustain high speeds on the NSH? no replacement for displacement there

In stock mode the top speed of the GTR is approx 310km/h - that's a mighty big jump you are talking about.

On the track is possible lar, lambos aren't well known for their handling prowess on the track. But how come can lose on NSHW? Think the lambo drivers just relacking lar

Maybe driver at top speed and drop off a cliff to record the speed . Sorry for being naughty as someone with a Cherry claimed top speed of 210km/hr at NSHW and I use this as a joke. SimonTan 2nd Gear May 4, 2011 Share May 4, 2011 I still dont understand WHY people equate Lambo to super fast cars!! Its just the simple fact that Lambo has HUGE >5000cc engine power! Mod any jap cars with huge >4000cc cars, the straight line performace will also be super fast. There is no replacement for displacement, still hold true! Yup agreed fully. It's really the 6th gear ratio that will limit the top speed, coupled with engine's top revs. I can't remember how much the stock R35 revs to, but i think it's either gotta be 6.5 or 6.8K rpm and that equates to 311km/h. Assuming a modded R35 revs up to 7.6K rpm (which is already damn good), can work out the top speed improvement if 6th gear ratio not touched. There's also an aftermarket 6th gear mod from USA with higher ratio that will allow a R35 to hit like 350km/h i think. Can't think of a good reason for anyone to do that though, except for high speed drag racing.
