When you bring one foreigner in as some manager position or HR role, soon you will see the effect.

Let me tell you one true case.

HP - Unilever Account

All it takes is one Indian from India and the whole team of Singaporean consisting of 25 Singaporeans was totally changed (either terminated or pull out from the team) and now consist of 27 foreigners from you guess where? India

And the worst part is the pay that there are getting is more than the previous Singaporean Project Managers (one local manager earning 4200 replace by indian 4500) previously. Makes sense?

The contradiction of PAP policies is funny, the indians coming here are so pretty easy, why because the indian HP boss give the foreign indians a high salary as justification for coming here. MOM just approve. Those indian foreigners do not EVEN BOTHER TO LOOK AT LOCALS RESUME when Singaporeans apply!!!!

Go to HP and take a look, the whole place are swarming with indian foreigners.

Most have PRs and ask if willing to convert, they just say 'Are you stupid or what.'

This are the very indian foreigners that comes in to rob your jobs and call Singaporeans lazy. Some of them their certificates are fakes.

Foreigners are very destructive, especially indians from India, they will bring in hordes of foreigners to replace you.

How I know. My wife works in HP.

its not solely from that subcontinent! its not about race or religion. Its about the whole episode of this FT thingy that is frustating a whole lot of Singaporean. they come in as FW its ok but to be here as FT taking jobs away from Singaporean who are up to the task and taking away precious seats in the universities while being given free lodging food and education that ishould be better given to the naturally born citizens.

Right now i am up to my nose with my son's tertiary education and here the government is giving away these things away to foreigner and it is leaving a bitter after taste. Am i suppose to tell my son " u owe it all to Singapore?"

These are the jobs which the Local Singaporeans are losing out to FT.

Today in the new paper, the numbers are 2.2 million voters.

Yet our population is approx 5.5million?

Do the maths.

There is just no hiding of the truth anymore.

I would not be surprised.

The rules have changed my friends and guess who have not been keeping their eyes on the ball?

What I am surprised is that there are still hordes of PAP supporters who believe that it's all down to meritocracy alone.

All they can offer as excuses are asinine catch phrases like capitalism, free market, level playing field, hunger to succeed etc etc.

I can only guess that most of them are happy mindless drones working with their eyes on the ground.

PAP has been very successful in this regard - they should be proud.

Turbocharged
(edited)

wow.

i dropped out of uni so that my younger brother can go study instead. poor family, finance always in the red. this was years ago.

now i read this, FT get 100% scholarship so easily...it breaks my heart.

Sad to hear your sacrifice.

This disease/tumour of KPI in the education field has to be cut off.

Our children should not be penalised for being a late starter. The Educational system in SG looks brilliant on Paper but its really

Teach Less EARN MORE !!!!

You'll find in the coming days, months and years that governments will become increasingly oppressive toward their own people. The process has already started and is still in the experimentation stage, however unless you belong to the core elite you'll never figure out the reason why things are working out the way they are.

Use your common sense and do the right thing for yourself, not for the country.

No one will be denied of an education because of fees. There is something called a tution fee loan from banks.

It is great if your parents can afford to send you to University.

But if they couldnt because of finance problem, you should take up a loan and complete your education.

Ok back to the point, free education and lodging and allowances, well that is a indeed a good deal!

I signed up just to say this. PLEASE, PLEASE get some proof and send it to The Straits Times, Today, Zaobao, TOC, everything and anything. This is scandalising and all Singaporeans deserve to know this before making their choice on Saturday.

There are stories out there.

I'm sure many bros have heard them first hand too.

But unfortunately there's no point preaching to the deaf.

People will not want to see, believe or even care unless it happens to them personally.

wow, i am surprised, only till now you all know that students studying in poly and the 3 uni, ntu, nus and smu are all invited here to study.

they are given tution grant, but they must work to repaid all the tution grant after graduation

the pr had been stopped since 2 years ago, as the pr quota had hit, and many foreginers student hate our goverment for it

because they broke the promise of pr invitation, and most of the good jobs only wanted pr to work.

hence u see a lot of such students going back to thier country

1 good news to you all, is last time even poly grads have pr, but now no more liao, as our garment only wanted the elites to stay.

now they will issue them an epec, which is eligible to a 1 year social visit pass, in order for them to have time to look for job, and return the tution grant.

the rational os such implemendation is to attract good students to come to singapore, as singapore is competing with countires liek canada. if you are a foreign student studying in canada, u cannot work there after u graduate, but in terms of education purposes.

most of such elite student will choose us, and canada instead of singapore.

so our goverment give out such freebies to attract these so called future elite, to come to singapore, and set a home here.

the other type of student is those school like mdis, these school student once graduate will be sent back to thier country.

they will no be eligible for the epec, hence they just come here for 3 years and spent money here and said by bye.

so we can see our goverment are only eyeing on the future elites.
