Timer for Storage water heater ??

For those still looking, the alternative I found is this "count-down" timer from RS components:

Installed in two places, works well, reliable.

Only drawback is the LED light is on all the time - so if you are sensitive to light in a dark bedroom, this may annoy you..

Thanks very much for your input.  Indeed, since Seng Leong Development (SL) was struck off, there are no simple "layman" timer control for hot water storage heater.  Yours is a great suggestion.

 

What is your experience using this RS surface mount time switch as it is rated at 1000W whilst most storage heater is 3000W, do you face any issue using this with your water heater ?  There are other RS switches that support 16A and 3000W but they are not exactly countdown in nature.
