Hi, I'm interested in the FC of turbocharged cars and comparing with the engine capacity.

It's reasonable to expect the FC of smaller engines to be better of course.

Just curious to know how turbocharged cars fare in our road conditions.

I was doing a search on spritmonitor.de for cars in Europe similar to mine.

Their average speed was anywhere from 60 to 80 plus km/h. Mine only 35 km/h.

Yet their FC is at best 2 km/L better than mine.

Just curious to know how good/bad turbocharged cars are good for our road conditions.

Turbocharged

there are many types... light pressure turbo like vw passat with low boost?

single-scroll or twin-scroll...

and of course, engine capacity...

if u wan power, fc is the last thing (or not even something that) u shld consider.

if u wan better fc, small cc with low boost is the way to go.

u can choose something in between, but it is neither here nor there, u get sick of it soon if ur mind is set on either side (fc vs power)

My trip computer tells me my average speed at 25km/hr.

F/C 7.4km per liter.

Engine: 2.3T, 6speed manual....

Car is no longer with me already.

Seems like I got scammed by HONDA....

My F/C for Stream at 8.4km per liter which is an improvement of 1km per liter (+12.5%).

Lost of power 260BHP ~ 160BHP (-61.5%).

To Trade 12.5% improvement for FC to lost of 61.5% of BHP is not worth it.

A Swift's BHP got lost in the transition.

No lei, my right feet very light one as I know that no matter how hard I push, the ride is rubbish.

Actually, I am planning to trade the Stream for a S-Max or opt for Stream as OPC and get a STI as weekday ride...

Feel stupid that after since I got the stream (1st week of March), the car is only full in 5 occasions.

And one time my car was nicked by a friend as he needs a MPV for the weekends...

5.6/km

WRX.

i assume that's 5.6km/l... not sure whether it's cos you're driving a more "classic" model, but the newer models in general get 7km/l or more even with very spirited driving...
