Ya. My indian colleague who has been working in Canada for the past 6 years told me that food in hawker centre in SG is so cheap that he tends to over eat and he is getting fat eversince he came here one year ago. He had to cook his own food in Canada. Here, he mostly eat out as he is single. If he cooks himself here, it would be more expensive.

This indian colleague never worked a single day in india. Upon graduate, straight flew off to Canada liao. Speaks perfect english and no shake head while talking. It was a pleasure communicating with him.

Turbocharged

I don't think we can compare ourselves with most European countries, even those in debts. We are truly not up there yet in living standard.

To bring us there, we need min wage and many other factors. If we try to just use the simple wage formula by finding cheap labour, we will go down the drain.

Cheap labour is only workable for short project works such as construction.

I am no expert but we have many in our cabinet.

This was the menu with prices at McD in Denmark which I took. Its all in DKK. Need to convert to SGD. Dont worry if u cant read Danish, got english words.

The menu is at the side of the counter. Its a good idea, no need to encounter those who dont order but keep looking at the menu undecided what to eat.
