Hi guys

Just bought the XF 2.2L Diesel (British Racing Green) on Sunday. Cant wait for delivery later this week. hehe Any advice on maintainence of a diesel car? this is my first diesel car.

Cheers

Congrats. Wonderful choice of colour. Bold and stands out.

Three years warranty. Diesel engine is robust. Since I bought mine more than a year ago, I have never needed to open my bonnet, and have yet to. Enjoy.

Congrats!

By the way can I check with you what is the current road tax for your 2.2L diesel Jaguar XF? [rolleyes]

Hi bro current year road tax is $4K+ but 1st year paid by Jaguar.

next year onwards road tax for diesel has been reduced to $2K. so it's equivalent to the 3.0L model.

I think next year will be a interesting year for Jaguar.

With the new engines, from a 2 litre turbocharged to a 3 litre supercharged, i believe they should be able to attract more people.

Well, they had already got me interested. Definitely comparable with BMW Twin turbo engine.

As Jaguar expands its product offer in key global markets it is introducing two additional petrol units to its range to enhance customer choice; the new 3.0-litre V6 Supercharged Petrol, and the 2.0-litre I4 Turbocharged Petrol.

3.0-litre V6 340 Supercharged Petrol

Peak power (PS@rpm): 340@6,500

Peak torque (Nm/lb ft@rpm): 450/332@1,800-4,000rpm

0-60mph (secs): 5.7 (in XF and XJ)*

2.0 I4 240 Turbocharged Petrol

Peak power (PS@rpm): 240@5500

Peak torque (Nm/lb ft@rpm): 340/251@1800-4,000

0-60mph (secs): 7.5 (in XF and XJ)*

The above 2.0T and 3.0S and the 2 revised 2.2D models are available in the U.K. now.

These 4 models will be here in Q4 2012 to replace the current 3 models - 2.2D, 3.0 and 5.0.

By the way, the facelifted XJL 2.0T which can sprint 0-100km/h in 7.5s will not be available here.

the 3.0 super charged looks solid with 340 bhp and 450 nm in torque. guess it will be more expensive than the current 3.0 which has only 238 in bhp.

Just got mine last week. The initial accelerate seems sluggish but after 1 sec it just shoots like a rocket. Wonder what went wrong.

Sometimes your rpm is low at that particular gear when you step on it, then it will need time to increase the rpm. Keep rpm at about 1500 rpm and the reaction will be faster. The sure way is to paddleshift down and rev. Hope this helps.

mean is jaguar default computer system like that one. this is not too good as it is slow response and when in danger, u cant execute immediately
