Japanese euro 4 engines have la but i do not know of any euro 4 compliant city bus by the japanese. The small buses have like the Mit Rosa.

Actually I dont get why standing on the upper deck is dangerous, maybe for tall people it is cause of the lower clearance level.

 

cos if you allow people to stand upstairs, there might be an extra 20 people. the centre of gravity of the bus shifts up, and in a sharp turn it may flip easily. current buses are designed in such a way that if they tilt to a certain angle with full capacity on the upper deck, it still won't overturn. the extra weight would be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

FYI, these low board buses are designed for easier access for disabled ppl via the back door

 

 

there is hardly any disabled ppl taking buses, if yes they can buy small quantities. Japan has all this buses but they their seating arangement are far better than this.

but Transtar bus, they only put passenger on top. below are all the engine and luggage.

Saw a few SBS Mercedes Benz Citaro at Pandan C&C this morning. License plates are being put up. One of them has SBS6001J license plate.

China bus manufactures dun produce their own engines, instead they use Cummins engine from US. thats why China buses are able to meet Euro 4 standard
