The tint is integrated into the glass itself, so it’s more durable and resistant to fading or changing color compared to stick-on tint films. However, prolonged sun exposure can sometimes cause minor changes in appearance — not by getting darker, but potentially by fading slightly or developing a hazy look if the glass quality or UV protection is subpar. This usually takes many years in harsh conditions. If you’re noticing a change, it could also be due to surface wear (like scratches or dirt buildup) rather than the tint itself changing. Would you like some tips on maintaining privacy glass to keep it looking sharp?”

Expand Some PI dealers go for homologation with M2L3 spec privacy glass which is the minimum spec to pass inspection. Then later on, give buyers cars with M2L4 spec privacy glass, which comes by default on Jap PI cars. Meaning, the dealer supposed to change the glass to M2L3 spec upon car's arrival in SG but did not do so. Play cheat and sabo customer lor.
