Tested with your M1 series?

Or was it noticeable for all the cars?

If factory privacy glass can pass homo, why would it fail inspection?

Maybe Vicom don't know wtf is going on, they see too dark, just fail it

Or Vicom has the spec of the vehicle before inspection starts and know what are factory options?

Not really.

They still need to use calibrated equipment to test.

If fail, Kan LTA.
Why homo pass but fail inspection?

Sorry I also piggyback on this thread. Just received SMS from LTA to tell me I have to pass inspection by June. Any problem if I send my car in for inspection within this month, or should I wait until May/June?

Expand

i like to go early if i can. if i'm not wrong, the window opens 3 months before the due date.

give more time to fix issues if required. Fortunately so far no major issues that required a return for 2nd inspection

Road tax renewal is same as LTA stated inspection due. Guess I'll just wait until 2 months to go, no need geh kiang go so early.

Edit: F***! That's only next month. I didn't register that it's already March.

Expand

Inspection results is valid for 3 mths. If your car is not time for inspection, they wont send you notification.

Yup if you can do that on the spot, then just do it.   I recall for my CLS350, the previous owner tint the rear windows too dark and it failed. I brought it immediately to a shop nearby to get it removed and then went back to show the Test supervisor.  He took one look and immediately passed for me.

Testing centres use a device to check.  You can even see the percentage of light reading on the handheld device they use.

True factory tints will never fail.
