for me the only time when i change out is after the usual prolong maintainance of wiping the blade during car wash and if it doesnt wipe well and have water marks than it is time to change. and also i will see the rubber condition whether have any cracks or decolor due to parking under hot sun than i will also change them out.

I change when it starts to have sound.

You all add anything to the fluid reservoir, I sometimes add a bit of dishwashing liquid. Very little.

To me it's durability is acceptable,as I park in open area mostly. 1 year spend $15.. But still good to do some maintenance, use baby wipes to clean when you wash your car.. Edited by Optramagnum

My last change of wipers is around 15yrs ago.

Till now, I don't change wiper for cars I had own between 3-5yrs of ownership.

Maybe a habit that i use tissue to clean the wipers after washing the car

just bought them.

hopefully they can last at least 6 months.

i tried using claybar, wipes to clean wiper etc but apparently, their lifespan is still too short.

Yup man. Rubber hate heat, it will harden and degrade.. Gotta apply some moisture occasionally. By Rain water or baby wipes.. Do feedback on how long it last for you. Good stuff must share..

my current ones are from bosch but i think it only lasted 3 - 4 months.

I'm not sure if its the heat, or the rain X or even the particles in my area.

before i work in these area, usually a wiper would last me 1 - 2 years but not now..  [laugh]

Maybe it's due to your working environment. Don't try lifting up your wipers after you parked your car and leave it like that. Cos the arm spring will be on tension mode for prolong period.. Your wipers won't "grip" to the windscreen as tight as before.
