Do any bros here know if loose engine mount can lead to loss of power? I'be been told my engine mount needs to be changed and I've recently felt that the car isn't as responsive as before.

yes will more less contribute to power loss. just replace them if you plan to keep the ride for long.

After changing mounting, you do get a better ride and more responsiveness. I got 4 pcs mounting for around $300 and went to JB to get it fixed. The "rubber" in the 4 pcs mountings had cracked quite considerably so had to get it changed. If vibration is too much, i feel it might lead to the loss of performance from the other parts of the car.

Most engine mount are 3, if your is 4, i reckon U can get it done here at the same price.

My ride was a conti car and it's smoother after the change. ( normal wear and tear ) [wave]

Can't remember exactly because I also had my air con washed, air filter changed and also labour for changing my rear shock absorbers at the same time. Was charged total of around 100 sgd.

Actually I was quoted around $380 for replacing the mounting in a Singapore WS and labour cost was 100 but inclusive of changing my rear shock absorbers which needed to change as well.

My Toyota Wish, coming to 3 years on 26 Sept, is found to have a weakening rear mounting during servicig by Borneo Motors. Borneo is replacing it foc under warranty. Wonder if it is normal for mountings to wear out before 3 years?
